A real nice friend of mine died on Saturday,?

She wrote this lovely little poem to a girl who's friend was knocked down by a drunk driver. The girl is well now thank goodness. Little was she to know that she would be knocked down by a truck within months of writing it. Hope you don't mind me posting it here, She had an account with yahoo answers as well. So its my little tribute to a friend on yahoo, myspace and in life as well.

just watching the sprinkle of starlight touch your cheek

imagining all the days we had sat alone watching the world

that was a very nice poem and i am sorry about your loss of a fried the answer to your question is quite simple though after a friend or loved one dies you start to notice the little things in life that are missing around you that your friend or one that has passed provided you its always the simple things that everyone passes bye and goes without notice until it is gone there is a value included in that if you think about it everyone always notices the big and obvious things about people but pay attention to the little things as well because that is what is important about someone

Grief takes many forms and sometimes does not happen straight away-when we loose someone people will tell us things that they remember about them and maybe we did not know at the time. It is only when they are not with us any more that we stop and look more deeply-that is life

My dad's best friend just died recently and something similar happened there. I knew him pretty well and even not being as close to him as my dad, I felt pain about it.

I know it hurts, but eventually, it gets better. Promise. Just keep looking up.

As for the question, sometimes grief isn't always awful. I guess it's a way of showing that you cared enough about the person to grieve.
